What Does Interlocking Mean Here?

At Iconique Hair, interlocking describes the signature concealed weft technique. This page concerns hair-extension wefts, rather than a loc-interlocking or microloc maintenance service.

The absence of beads, braids or glue describes the attachment approach. It does not establish that the method is appropriate for every head of hair or that an installation is tension-free.

A Personal Placement and Blend

We start with your natural hair, density, styling preferences and desired fullness or length. The conversation includes what your current hair can support and what an installation would require. A method name does not determine a row count or guarantee a particular finish.

If thinning hair or hair loss is part of your concern, begin with the private thinning-hair consultation page. Cosmetic extension planning does not diagnose or treat the cause of hair loss. Declining or postponing installation may be the appropriate next step.

Interlocking and Microlink Wefts

Iconique’s wefted micro-link method uses small beads. Signature interlocking wefts do not. The choice should reflect your actual hair, goals and upkeep rather than a claim that one method is best for everyone.

Installation Pricing

The published installation-only weft prices apply to both signature methods: $375 for one row, $575 for two rows and $775 for three rows. Hair is not included. Confirm the row plan, hair requirements and full quote before booking. Maintenance and removal charges are discussed separately.

Maintenance and Removal Planning

Interlocking weft ends can be adjusted once. After that adjustment, the installation must be removed and reinstalled. Shalita will discuss the timing and care appropriate for your hair. This differs from microlink wefts, which can be readjusted repeatedly when properly maintained.

Ask for the care routine and the signs that should prompt a check-in. The American Academy of Dermatology advises attention to painful or overly tight styling.

This page describes concealed extension wefts. It does not advertise loc-interlocking maintenance.

Consultation and Reservation

Start with a free introductory phone consultation to discuss your goals and whether the service is a good fit. All appointments are arranged directly with Shalita after the initial virtual consultation; there is no online booking calendar.

An in-home consultation is $100. A deposit is required to secure your reservation. Shalita will confirm the deposit amount and reservation details before booking. Mobile appointments carry no travel fee. Geographic limits apply, so confirm your neighborhood during your inquiry.

Preparing for Your Appointment

For installation-only appointments, your hair must be completely free of products. For full-service appointments, arrive with no other hair extensions or attachments in your hair, and make sure your hair is completely detangled before services begin. No other advance preparation is required for full-service appointments.
